Name of the Guild Empty Name of the Guild

I was wrong to write the name. I wrote trabis, instead of typing Tabris.

Tabris (タブリス, Taburisu?)[7], the seventeenth and final Angel, holds the form of a human, Kaworu Nagisa. Like the other Angels, he is "born of Adam", although it is implied that he was created by Seele.

Tabris" is an alternate spelling of Tabbris, [citation needed] which loosely means Good of God in Hebrew ('Tov' טוב means 'good', and 'Yah' יה is a short for Yahweh יהוה). He is named for the Angel of Free Will and Alternatives (自由の天使, Jiyū no Tenshi?).[10] (This naming convention breaks from most of the other Angels in that it uses a Yah theophory, rather than an El theophory.)

The Ainur are the immortal Spirits existing before Creation in J. R. R. Tolkien's fictional universe. These were the first beings made of the thought of God or Eru Ilúvatar.[1]

External OriginThe Æsir of the Norse mythology, the Ogdoads of Gnosticism, and the angels of Christian mythology all inspired Tolkien for creating his Ainur.

Internal OriginBefore the Creation, God made the Ainur or "Holy Ones". This Quenya name comes from the Elvish root ayan- "revere, treat with awe".[2] "Ainur only appears in plural [in Elvish texts] since after the Creation all those were Maiar includes Valar and their lesser kin, but not those who did not take part in the Great Theme, or else did not enter Eä."[3] This means that only apocryphal texts written by Men and Hobbits used the singular Ainu.

The Universe was created through a Great Theme: the Music of the Ainur or Ainulindalë. Those of the Ainur who felt concerned by the Creation entered it, called Eä in Quenya. The Earth and our Solar System is part of the Creation. These are called Arda in Quenya.

The Holy One Melkor or Melko claimed the Earth for himself. His brother Manwë and several others Holy Ones decided to confront him, becoming known as the Valar, or the "Powers". Much of the World was marred by the conflict between the Valar and Melkor. According to The Silmarillion, eventually and with the aid of the Vala Tulkas, who entered the Creation last, the degenerated fana of Melkor (his physical appearance), Morgoth was destroyed.

Name of the Guild Empty Icarus: Name Origin

Post  Eternal Soul Sun Mar 27, 2011 12:13 am

In Greek mythology, Icarus is the son of the master craftsman Daedalus. The main story told about Icarus is his attempt to escape from Crete by means of wings that his father constructed from feathers and wax. He ignored instructions not to fly too close to the sun, and the melting wax caused him to fall to his death. Shocked
To tell the truth I was inspired by the song Icarus Ascending from the Italian band Domine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ag8oilt4KwQ
The urge to fly ever higher than any living thing is the kind of ambitious dream I expect from any of my guildies, as long as it doesn't get you killed in the end lol tongue
